Astarta invests more than $ 3 million in the construction of feed center

December 13, 2007, Kiev, - between the company ASTARTA Holding N.V. and a number of contracts worth about $ 11 million have been signed by American manufacturers of agricultural equipment and machinery.

According to the development strategy and within the framework of the investment program of the holding, the modernization of the ASTARTA agricultural equipment park is being carried out. In this connection, the signing of a number of contracts between ASTARTA Holding N.V. was completed. and American manufacturers of agricultural equipment and machinery Amity Technology, Chief Industries Inc., Mathews Company, CNH America. The subject of contracts is the purchase and sale of agricultural machinery and equipment: tractors, seeders, combines, cultivators, grain and beet harvesting equipment. The total amount of contracts is almost 11 million dollars. Contracts are concluded on standard conditions for such transactions.
The purchased equipment will be used for processing both existing and leased agricultural land this year. The number of sown areas of the holding increased significantly: more than 133 thousand hectares in 2007 against 90 thousand hectares as of December 2006.
