General information

The use of lacquered tinder in pharmacology

The most edible tinder "live" directly in the area of the mixed forests. The positive point is that for their collection there is absolutely no need to bend down, they grow directly on the trunks of trees, close enough to the base, as well as on the stumps.

Other names - blood sponge, larch sponge, tindery deciduous, trute mushroom.

Sometimes polypants confuse with chagy, because often both fungi grow on birch trunks and are similar in appearance. But you should not confuse them, because they differ significantly in properties.

Polypore is a true parasite mushroom, but nonetheless has a large number of healing properties.

Healing and beneficial properties

  • For the prevention of tinder I take 2 times a year, the duration of admission - about a month. If we are talking about treatment, the duration of treatment is increased to 3-4 months.
  • Tinder removes toxins - it's all about unique agaric acid.
  • Cruster restores the liver, it helps to develop an enzyme that removes cleaved amino acids. Just before the girls used a mushroom for weight loss.
  • Helps with tuberculosis
  • Applied with oncology

  • pregnancy
  • nursing mothers
  • children under 5
  • idiosyncrasy

Polypore is about 50 centimeters in diameter, consisting of a huge variety of branchy legs, each of which has small and white caps. Remarkably, all the sprigs of mushrooms, without exception, are gathered at the base into an attractive, at first glance, tuberiform stem. A mushroom can have quite a few caps, sometimes up to 200 pieces, and each can have a diameter of at least four centimeters. The cap form itself is rounded, it is in a young mushroom, but gradually acquires a flat-convex shape, has a certain depression in the central part, which is noteworthy that the color of the cap may be light brown or grayish brown.

In the branched tinder, the flesh is white, fleshy, but in old mushrooms it gradually becomes coarse, leathery, has a slight smell of dill. By itself, the lower part of the cap is made of white, the tubules in its composition are extremely short. Spore powder is also white. This mushroom grows exclusively in mixed forests, at the base of trunks and stumps.

The time of collection of mushrooms in the period August-November. It is consumed exclusively in fresh form, sometimes salted or even dried. The best solution is to collect mushrooms at a young age, but if they are old, it is recommended to use only a hat for food separately.

Winter tinder

Special attention should be paid to the winter tinder, the cap of which is up to ten centimeters in diameter and the young mushroom has a soft and elastic form, after which, after a while, it becomes leathery and flat.

The underside of the fungus has a tubular structure, the elements are short and whitish, and in old mushrooms they also have a creamy tint.

The spore powder is exclusively white, the leg has a height of up to six centimeters, which immediately distinguishes the fungus from many others in the trees.

It grows on the stumps of various trees in mixed forests, but it prefers birch, mountain ash, or alder.

You can meet him in the period, starting with the spring and ending directly with frosts in the autumn.

Botanical description of the fungus

This mushroom is a saprophyte that destroys wood and causes white rot. The main places where lacquered tinder grows are the bases of loose and dying deciduous trees. On coniferous representatives, it is very rare. This fungus is one-year, less often two or three years old. The kidney-shaped or ovoid cap reaches 2 to 8 cm in diameter. It is covered with shiny smooth skin, striated with rings of different color.

The color of the cap is from reddish to brownish-purple. Spongy pulp gradually becomes woody. The sporiferous tubular layer with small pores, located at 4−5 to 1 mm². They are first white, and then become yellow or brown. The leg of the fungus is uneven, cylindrical, reaching from 5 to 25 cm in height.

Granoderma is widely valued and bred in the countries of Southeast Asia. In these countries, the mushroom tinder varnish is called Lingzhi or Reishi.

Immunity restoration and treatment of diabetes

Phenolic compounds and tinder polysaccharides have a positive effect on the immune system of the human body. Mushroom extract is able to restore immune reactions, bringing them back to normal. As a result of the research it was proved that taking the drug on the basis of Reishi for a month, for a year, normalizes the immune system.

The fungus strengthens a weak immune system, weakens a strong one, bringing it back to normal, and keeps it normal in a stable state. Polysaccharides and their protein compounds reduce blood sugar levels. As well as water decoction of tinder effectively helps the action of insulin. In addition, it was observed that polysaccharide extracts from the granoderm in an alkaline medium also have a hypoglycemic effect.

Effect on the cardiovascular system

In the treatment of heart disease, medical specialists see prospects for the use of ganoderic acid, which is part of tinder fungus. It is associated with the fact that in the human body there is a decrease in the presence of triglycerides and lipoproteins in the blood plasma by almost 75%. And also there is a drop in the level of cholesterol in the blood. And it happens in geometrical progression, that is, the higher the cholesterol content, the faster it decreases.

Botanical description

Polypores, or trutovik - representatives of the unsystematic group of mushrooms belonging to the basidiomycetes department. They grow on wood, but sometimes on the ground.

Their hymenophore is tubular, the fruiting bodies are prostrate, sessile or cone-shaped, with a view of the pulp from fleshy to hard (leathery, corky, woody).

Medicinal properties

The therapeutic properties of the fungus are numerous:

  • bactericidal
  • antivirus,
  • fortifying,
  • expectorant

  • antitumor,
  • wound healing
  • rejuvenating
  • diuretic,
  • anti-inflammatory.
  • Collection and Procurement Rules

Trumpet mushrooms can be harvested throughout the year, but the main thing is that they grow on living trees. Mushroom should be carefully separated at its base from the tree. Do not forget to cut off the crust and growth from it with a knife. Preparation is recommended to do on the day of collection, as these mushrooms harden very quickly. They are usually dried on a stove or in well ventilated areas.

They can also be harvested in the form of tinctures, which are then stored in a refrigerator, or in the form of powdered powder stored in a can or other glass container. Another option - freeze. Then the mushrooms will be able to extend the term of its benefit up to six months, or even up to a year.

    In medicine

With the help of mushrooms, many different diseases are treated:

    • the ulcer
    • different tumors
    • cardiovascular diseases
    • constipation

In addition, they contribute to the healing of wounds, as well as part of the recipes for weight loss and against insomnia.

In the old days, the tinder was used as a tinder (wick), igniting fire with it. They were made hats and some clothes, it turned out a kind of natural suede. Today, these mushrooms are used in beekeeping as fuel for the smoker. They are also used in the manufacture of souvenirs, crafts, pendants.

The role of the fungus in the life of the tree

Polypores are considered parasites that trees infect by air - fungal spores fall into their wounds. If they have already appeared on the tree, then the plant is doomed, since it is impossible to remove them (only prophylaxis will help to prevent the appearance).

There are two options: either to cut down the tree, uproot the stump and burn it, or to constantly cut off the mushrooms, disinfecting the places of their appearance.

Although it cannot be said that the appearance of tinder artists is a uniquely negative phenomenon. Yes, on the one hand, they destroy the wood on a healthy tree, weakening it, on the other - they are involved in the decomposition of dead wood, turning it into humus.

    Views: description and photo

In the world there are more than one and a half thousand types of polypores, we describe some of them:

    1. Birch. Reaches 4–20 cm in diameter, has a body 2–6 cm thick, of a convex or flattened shape. At an early age it has a white color, changing to gray, yellow or brown over time. The spores are cylindrical in shape and have no color. Birch tinder fructifies from July to December and grows on dead birches. It causes the appearance of the brown rot that is rapidly developing on the wood, as a result of which the trunk quickly collapses.
    2. Humpbacked Got this name because of the little hump located on the bonnet. Its flesh has a cartilaginous, woody structure, it is very hard when it dries out, and has neither taste nor smell. It is considered a parasitic fungus, as it affects the tissues of the tree, feeding on them. It grows on old stumps and windbreaks in the warm season, in summer and autumn, then it dries out and becomes food for animals or remains until the next fruiting. It can be found on such trees as poplar, hornbeam and others.
    3. Stiff-haired. It has a semicircular cap, which is covered with hard gray fibers up to 5 mm. They grow in bunches and up. In addition to deciduous trees, such mushrooms can also settle on wooden fences and buildings.
    4. Winter. It has a cap reaching 10 cm in diameter. It is covered with short scales of brownish and yellow shades. With age, the surface of the fungus turns from rough to smooth, and the bare foot has a black base. The tubular layer is white or yellow, but when dried it has a brown tint. Ellipsoidal spores are colorless and have a smooth surface. Growing on the stumps and branches of a deciduous tree, it bears fruit in the autumn. This species is edible.
    5. Umbrella. The diameter of the fruit body reaches 20 cm. It consists of branched legs that have a connection at the base. Its rounded caps have a depression in the center. They are smooth and brownish in color. The flesh is distinguished by the specific smell of dill. As a rule, it develops in broad-leaved and coniferous-deciduous forests, on stumps of maple, oak, or at the base of other trees besides coniferous. Its spindle-shaped spores are colorless and have a smooth surface. The fungus can cause white rot, and it bears fruit from July to August.
    6. Volatile. Its rounded (sometimes oval) cap reaches 3–8 cm in diameter. At the point of attachment, the legs are depressed and usually divided into lobes along the edges. The fungus can be yellow or brown, and the tubular layer can be white or cream. Although it is edible, people rarely eat it because its flesh has a rigid structure, which makes it difficult to chew. The short leg of the fungus 0.5–1 cm in diameter becomes black with time. Growing on dead wood, fruits in spring and autumn. A characteristic feature is the similarity with the scaly tinder, but in this case you should pay attention to the differences in the caps.
    7. Chestnut. It has a hat of light shades of a funnel shape with an uneven edge. Leg narrows to the base and reaches a height of 10 cm. Prefers to multiply in a damp place and on the stump.
    8. Cinnabar red. It has an annual fruit body, reaching 10 cm in diameter and having a nodular surface of red color. Such a mushroom can be found on the branches of weakened deciduous trees.
    9. Varnished (Reishi). The main difference of this species is a shiny red-brown cap, reaching a diameter of 25 cm and 3 cm thick. The leg may be short and lateral. It covers the same peel as the cap.
    10. Larch (real). It has a fruit body up to 30 cm long, white or yellow, and can grow on cedar, fir or larch. Its rough surface consists of grooves and has rounded edges. Previously it was used as a raw material for the extraction of tinder. Polypore has a bitter taste and is not intended for human consumption.
    11. Radiant. It has a flat yellow-orange body and a semicircular shape. This fungus has a wrinkled surface, and it grows in tiers or rows on birch trees, aspen trees, hornbeams, lindens and other deciduous trees. With age, it changes its color to brown.
    12. Aspen. The small hard hat has a gray surface with small furrows. It is one of the most harmful species. As the name implies, it grows on aspens, developing fibrous rot and rapidly spreading along the trunk and branches of the tree.
    13. Flat. It has a flat cap with a diameter of up to 50 cm, the crust of which is dull brown. It grows on birch trees and stumps.
    14. Multicolored. It has a semicircular cap and is placed in groups. The surface of the mushroom is divided into zones, each of which is painted in different colors, including white, and blue, and gray, as well as shiny and velvety shades.
    15. Scaly. It has other names, such as the cleft and speckled. Its cap, 0.5–10 cm thick, is up to 50 cm in diameter. It is white with scales. Leg of the same shade with a black base. It grows both on dead, and on living trunks and branches of deciduous and fruit trees. Fruits in June-September and can cause yellow-white rot spreading throughout the trunk. The mushroom is edible, but it is better to eat it when it is young, because with age its structure becomes rigid.

Is it possible to eat tinder mushroom

Among the polypore, there are both edible and inedible species. Experienced collectors will be able to determine by appearance of the fungus whether it can be eaten or not.

In essence, its pulp does not represent a danger to human health, but in most cases it is too rigid, and its taste is not worth the time spent on chewing. Let us consider in more detail the beneficial properties of the fungus, and whether it is dangerous or not.

    Beneficial features

The useful properties of tinder include:

    • improvement of the liver due to agaricin, which is rich in fungus,
    • laxative and diuretic action,
    • lowering blood sugar
    • healing effect.

How to use tinder for weight loss

These mushrooms are even used as a means to lose weight. For this it is recommended to use lacquered tinder. So, you need 1 tsp. Mushroom powder pour 100 ml of boiling water and after cooling to drink.

This manipulation is done 3 times a day to obtain the desired effect of losing weight. Taking a decoction for 2 months can cure obesity.

    How to cook tinder mushroom

Consider one of the ways to cook this mushroom. Since these will be meatballs, you will need to make minced meat.

To do this, prepare the following ingredients:

    • tinder mushroom - 1 kg,
    • bread - 1/2 loaf or any other,
    • greens - 1 bunch,
    • garlic - 4–5 heads,
    • onions - 5 pcs.,
    • egg - 1 pc.,
    • salt to taste
    • pepper - to taste.

Now we present a step-by-step recipe for making cutlets:

    1. Prepare scaly tinder and clean it with a knife. In this case, special attention should be paid to the underside, since tubular fibers are located on it. The top of the cap is optional. But it is recommended to remove the upper skin so that the fungus is softer. In addition, the solid layer of the fungus should also be removed. At the same time the quantity of scraps can considerably exceed pulp. This happens if you cut the mushroom to the very foot.
    2. After you have separated the necessary parts, fill them with cold water and leave for a few hours. This will give the tinder softness and make it easy to chop.
    3. Soaked mushroom should be put in a saucepan, add clean water and cook for about 20 minutes.
    4. Then drain, rinse and allow to cool.

  • Grind the bread, onions, garlic and herbs.
  • Grinder should be minced using a medium grate at least 3 times, ensuring the consistency of boiled buckwheat.
  • Then combine all the ingredients and mix them into a homogeneous mass. When adding salt, remember that mushrooms absorb it extremely quickly.
  • Next, you need to form the patties and roll them in flour or bread crumbs.
  • Then you should put them on a preheated pan and fry on both sides. In this case, the frying temperature does not matter. During this process, you can cover them for 2 minutes.
  • After cooking, remove cutlets from the fire.
  • Many people have learned to use tinder for various purposes. It is believed that this mushroom is perfectly combined with many vegetables and meat dishes, and is also an effective means for losing weight.

However, the most important in this matter is the ability to distinguish edible tinder from toadstool.

    Tinder real

What kind of mushroom is this, tinder? In botany, it is defined as a perennial parasitic mushroom that feels great on beech, oak, alder, aspen and birch. Outwardly, it looks like a growth, which eventually acquires new layers.

In the people, tinder has several names - "blood sponge", "larch sponge", "tinder leaf". The fungus did not receive this definition in vain - in traditional medicine it was often used as a hemostatic agent. His pores are well absorbed by the blood, creating a semblance of a cork or bandage dressing.Another tinder is often called chagoy, especially if it is found on birch trunks. It is not right.

Chaga is a type of polypane, but it is not worth confusing it with a polypore tinder. They are too different in their properties. But the parasite is not accidentally named this fungus - a real tinder destroys lignin or cellulose (the wood of the tree on which it grows).

    There is a benefit

Although the mushroom is called a parasite, its use in medicine is indisputable. What is useful tinder present? Its medicinal properties, as the centuries-old experience says, are very extensive. The use of the fungus for therapeutic purposes began in tsarist times. The mushroom was so famous in Russia that at a certain point it even began importing it into other countries.

He even won the honorary title of "the king of all medicinal drugs", on average, being like that for more than 1600 years. In ancient times it was known as Agaricus albus, which translated means "cleansing", "quinine", "white Agarik".

Greater love won tinder in Greece. The famous Greek healer Dioscorides considered him a panacea, prescribing its use in all internal diseases. The doctor was confident that the tinder was the best way to recuperate, get rid of the blues and depression.

    The recipe of king Mithridates

The ancient Romans and Greeks firmly believed in the healing properties of this mushroom species. The tinder fungus was very expensive; it was impossible for ordinary mortals to buy it.

A unique proof of the value of the fungus is the famous recipe of King Mithridates. This ruler found out that if you constantly take a drug made on the basis of tinder, you can protect your body from poison.

During his reign, the king constantly drank a therapeutic agent, and the best proof of its effectiveness was the moment when, falling into depression, Mithridates decided to settle accounts with life and took a large dose of poison. Oddly enough, the poison not only did not work, but did not even cause simple food poisoning. Needless to say that the recipe means kept in strict secrecy.

    Tinder capable of removing toxins

King Mithridates told how the mushroom helps prevent poisoning. But the ability of the fungus to remove toxins from the body has already been established by modern scientists.

The experiments were carried out on rats and mice, which were ground into ground powder. The results shook - mercury dichloride, arsenic compounds, as well as many other dangerous poisons that had accumulated there over the years began to leave the body of rodents. Later, the reason was established - it’s all about the unique agaric acid, which has no analogues by its properties.

    We treat the liver

The second property of tinder is the restoration of the liver. Siberians knew this very well - they collected a tinder real and took it for food in the form of tinctures and powders, which, in turn, made it possible to produce an enzyme that breaks down protein. Girls more often used tinder as an ideal means for losing weight.

By the way, as a means for losing weight, the Japanese have advertised tinder. Quickly realizing that big money could be earned on this, many pharmacological companies began to produce tons of pills and infusions based on the fungus, buying large quantities of tinder in Russia. The Japanese also found lanofil polysaccharide in the mushroom, which causes the liver to release the enzymes necessary for its normal operation.

    What is important enzymes?

Probably, many people paid attention to the fact that small children are quite often plump. The explanation for this is simple - the liver begins to form only from the age of five, and until that time the protein accumulated by the body does not break down - precisely because of the absence of the enzymes mentioned.

Treatment with tinder is present in helping the liver. The lack of enzymes allows you to break down proteins to fatty amino acids, which are then also absorbed by the liver. In fact, they are not removed from the body. And this leads to the accumulation of fat cells. Polyporium, as confirmed by research, helps produce an enzyme that removes split amino acids, not allowing the body to overgrow with fat.

However, this is not all that a tinder can do. Its use, judging by the reviews of physicians, is also popular for the treatment of lungs.

    Learn to breathe freely

Tinder is a truly unique mushroom, as patients say, and its spectrum of action is quite large. Means prepared on the basis of tinder, can be taken as a simple cough, so in cases where a person is seriously ill. This is pneumonia, and cancer, to get rid of which sometimes is simply impossible.

According to doctors, the first aid is tinder and with tuberculosis, and very advanced cases can be treated. In China, drugs developed on the basis of this fungus, have a variety of directions - starting, as mentioned above, from a simple cough, and ending with impotence.

Only now doctors themselves do not recommend experimenting with doses - tinder is an excellent remedy for constipation, and its incorrect use can lead to endless diarrhea.

    Getting younger

Tinder present will help to become younger. As already mentioned, it restores the liver, on which the health of any person directly depends. The consequences that follow are the absence of skin irritation, fatigue, pain in the right side. The skin becomes elastic, acquires a pleasant healthy color.

Women who follow their beauty claim that it helps the tinder present and nails - brittle and exfoliating plates return their structure, as well as an even pink tint. However, you need to know about the limitations. So, tinder is contraindicated:

    • pregnant women
    • breastfeeding mothers
    • children under 5 years old
    • those who have a mushroom individual intolerance.

But the side effects of its use is not detected until now. The mushroom is also good because you can collect it yourself - all year round, but only from living trees. For preventive purposes, tinder is taken about a month, with a frequency of 2 times a year. If the fungus is used for treatment, the duration of the intake should be increased to 3-4 months.

Infusions on tinder are made on boiling water, on warm water or on vodka. Be sure to give the drug to insist, and keep it best in the refrigerator. Medicinal preparations are prepared exclusively from powder - it is very simple to dry the mushroom at home.

Therapeutic mushroom tinder sheep and his photo

    Family: Albatrellaceae.

    Synonyms: Sheep albatrellus, sheep mushroom.

Description. The cap is fleshy, 1-2 cm thick, 3–20 cm in diameter, rounded or somewhat irregular, initially convex with a bent edge, then flat or concave, white, light cream, often with bright yellow spots, with age light ocher, grayish to grayish or light brown or brown.

Pay attention to the tinder photo at a young age: the mushroom cap is bare and smooth. With age, it becomes weakly scaly, in old age or in dry weather cracking.

Sheep tinder pulp is dense, raw-shaped, brittle, white, yellowish when dried, often when pressed turns yellowish. The taste is pleasant and soft, with bitterness. When boiled, the fruit body becomes slightly greenish. Leg 3-7 X 1-3 cm, strong, smooth, solid, central or eccentric, often narrowed to the base, usually one-colored with a cap. Single mushrooms are found infrequently, as a rule, they grow together with the legs and / or the edges of the caps, forming splices of several fruit bodies.

If you look closely at the photo of the sheep tinder, you can see that the tubular layer nibbles on the leg. Basically, this layer is white, creamy, may be lemon or greenish yellow, it turns yellow when pressed. The tubules are very short, 1-2 mm high, the pores are angular or round, 2-5 by 1 mm.

Similar views. Related species include combed albatrellus (A. cristatus, distinguished by a greenish or olive color of the cap), confluent albatrellus (A. confluens, distinguished by a creamy, pink, reddish or yellow-brown color of the cap and bitter or sour taste of the flesh). It also resembles black yellow (Hydnum repandum), in which the sporiferous layer on the lower surface of the cap is not tubular, but in the form of spines. Inedible and poisonous twins are not.

Medicinal properties: Various bioactive components were isolated from the fresh fruit bodies of the fungus: griffolin, griffolinone, neogrifolin, skutigeral, ilikolin, ovinale, ovinolin, etc.

Skutigeral and other triphenyl-phenols of sheep goat (neogrifolin, skutigeral, i-sikolin B, ovinyal, ovinolin), which are related to dopamine D1 receptors of the brain, act as an oral analgesic. Their action is similar to the effect of psaicin derived from hot red pepper.

Neogrifolin exhibits a pronounced antioxidant effect. This property of tinder makes it possible to manufacture on its basis drugs that have an effect similar to that of vitamin E.

Grifolin has a pronounced anti-cancer effect. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells of the CNE1, HeLa, MCF-7, SW480, K562, Raji, and B95-8 lines, reduces cholesterol levels, and suppresses gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and hay bacterium) and mycobacteria. Grifolin derivative confluentin inhibits the growth of HL-60, SMMC-7712, A-549 and MCF-7 cancer cell lines.

Sheep tinder polysaccharides, obtained from mycelial culture, stop the growth of 180 sarcoma and Ehrlich sarcoma by 100%, respectively.

Griffolin and neogrifolin have an anti-inflammatory effect, reducing the level of nitric oxide (NO) in the human body.

Use in traditional medicine: Medicinal tinder in China is used as an antitumor and anti-inflammatory agent.

Rules for collection and procurement: Gather young and mature mushrooms. Peeled and crushed fruit bodies are used to prepare alcoholic and aqueous infusions, extracts and powder.

Cooking Applications: Young mushrooms with a white hat are suitable for food, they are consumed fresh, used for pickling and marinating. Good for drying for future use. The fungus has a high taste, but hard pulp can cause gastrointestinal upset in sensitive people.

    Polypore humpbacked: description and properties

    Family: Coriolaceae (Coriolaceae).

    Synonyms: trametes humpbacked.

Description. Fruit bodies are annual, half, sessile, attached by a wide base, in small groups or single, rather large, 3-12 X 5-20 cm, 1-4 cm tall. Hats are flat, sometimes uneven, with a velvety, surface that becomes exposed to age, often zoned, whitish-grayish, light-ocher with age. Fruit bodies are covered with algae, from which they become green. The surface of the sporiferous layer is white, cream or light straw-yellow, the pores are rectangular, elongated, radially spaced, dotted, sometimes almost labyrinth-like. According to its description, the tinder pulp resembles a cork - it is just as dense, mostly white, less often yellowish.

Sterile hunchback is found throughout the forest zone of Russia (including the Caucasus), everywhere it is common. It grows on hardwood (deadwood, deadwood, stumps, live trees), causes white rot. Fruits from June to early November. Old fruit bodies persist until spring.

Similar views. Young fruit bodies of a small size look like a hard-working tinder (T. hirsuta), from which they are distinguished by elongated pores and barely noticeable pubescence on caps (T. hirsuta is characterized by smaller round pores and more pronounced pubes pubescence).

Medicinal properties: Humpback humpback has anti-inflammatory, antitumor and antiviral activity.

Laboratory studies have shown that T. gibbosa polysaccharides are capable of protecting blood vessels. They neutralize changes in the walls of blood vessels, reduce the overall protein level in the effusion in the pleural cavity, increase the number of neutrophils and eosinophils.

Polysaccharides isolated from mycelial culture inhibit the growth of sarcoma-180 and Ehrlich carcinoma. Petroleum ether and ethyl acetate extracts of T. gibbosa showed cytotoxicity with respect to human throat cancer cell lines (HeLa) hepatomas (SMMC-7721). Extract from mycelium completely stops the growth of human chronic myelogenous leukemia culture (K562).

Methanol extract of the fruit bodies and culture mycelium showed an average inhibitory activity against the AIDS virus. Perhaps, in the future, drugs for the treatment of this terrible disease with a polypore will be developed.

For culinary purposes is not used.

    Slyish hairs tinder, similar species

    Family: Coriolaceae (Coriolaceae).

    Synonyms: trametes stiff-haired, sponge stiff-haired.

Description. Fruit bodies thin, annual, sessile, 4-12 cm in size, usually grow in large groups. The surface of the cap is zonal, coarse-haired, almost hairy-bristly, yellowish, greyish, brownish with age, often at the base greenish from algae developing on it. The flesh is thin, leathery, whitish, with a bitter taste. Young specimens may have a slight aniseed smell. The tubules are short, up to 6 mm in length. The surface of the tubes is whitish, yellowish, greyish or brownish. The pores are round, thick-walled.

It is found on deadwood, stumps and fallen trees, treated wood of deciduous (rarely - coniferous) trees, often and everywhere. Causes white rot, with the wood splits into characteristic plates. Fruits year-round, in harsh conditions in the winter months it stops developing and resumes growth in the spring.

The fungus is cultivated in a number of countries to obtain mycelium and culture fluid, from which drugs are then manufactured.

Similar views. Fluffy Trametes (T. pubescens) is distinguished by a softer, almost felted pubescence, its pores become twisting with age. Lenzites birch (Lenzites betulina) is distinguished by a lamellar or labyrinthic spore-bearing layer. Cerrena unicolor is another similar species with a tindery haired one. It has on a cut a fabric with a dark line and a spore-bearing layer with pores of irregular shape.

Medicinal properties: Substances with antibiotic properties and possessing antitumor activity were found in fungi.

Aqueous and methanol extracts of fruit bodies showed high antifungal activity against Penicillium sp, Aspergillus fumigatus, A. flavus, A. niger and Mucor indicus, as well as high antibacterial activity with respect to Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococrosis. Streptococcus mutans.

Under laboratory conditions, mycelial extract inhibits the growth of sarcoma-180 and Ehrlich carcinoma cell lines.

Application: Tumor fungus treatment in folk medicine is carried out with pulmonary diseases, to relieve fever and sweat, accelerate the regeneration of muscle tissue.

Rules for collection and procurement: Collect fresh fruit bodies for subsequent drying.

    Larch (real)

Larch, or, as it is called, "real" - the most useful type of tinder. It is inedible, but medicinal. It is widely used by nutritionists who deal with patients with impaired metabolism. They also treat constipation and use it to stop bleeding.

According to the structure, these mushrooms are woody. Their width is from 5 to 40 cm, thickness - 5–20 cm. They are mounted sideways on trees.

It is an inedible mushroom, which mainly settles on dead wood (mainly birch stumps). It is also called the artist's mushroom, because when pressed with a knife, a dark imprint remains on which to draw.

This species is very large, its diameter reaches 40–50 cm. The surface of its cap is matte, and it looks dry in appearance, its color varies from rusty brown to grayish brown.

    Varnished (Reishi)

There are no toxic substances in this subspecies. Based on it, they make useful cosmetic products (for example, for skin and nails), and also they are used to rejuvenate the whole body and cleanse the liver, which leads to cleansing the skin from various rashes.
