General information

Kuproksat, KS

One of the most preferred summer residents means to combat fungal pathologies of plant crops is Kuproksat - a type of fungicides. It is also used to destroy parasitic spores on the surface of seeds before sowing. During the application of this tool, care must be taken, because its concentrated solution is toxic to humans and animals.

General characteristics

Kuproksat is an inorganic substance that belongs to the group of contact fungicides, which include copper.

The active component of this drug is copper sulfate, pentahydrate.

In appearance it resembles whitish crystals.

The tool is available in 34.5% concentrate of 10 or 25 liters. Some companies offer a smaller amount of money suitable for processing small areas.

What crops can be processed?

There is a list of crops for the treatment of which Kuproksat fungicide can be applied. Experts recommend using it for the following cultures:

  • different varieties of apple trees
  • hops
  • squash,
  • different varieties of pears
  • cucumbers,
  • grapes
  • tomatoes,
  • potatoes,
  • sugar beet.

The drug protects the listed crops from the fungus.

Dignity means

Kuproksat has several advantages, which is why it is very popular among summer residents. The advantages include:

  • resistance to moisture and precipitation
  • lack of resistance of the main substance
  • wide range of action,
  • compatibility with pesticides in tank compositions,
  • high efficiency
  • elimination of the risk of re-development of fungal pathology,
  • ease of use
  • formation of a protective dense film on foliage,
  • environmental friendliness.

This drug is necessary to protect the plant from diseases such as:

  • brown spot,
  • macrosporosis,
  • perinosporosis,
  • rhizoctoniosis,
  • scab apples
  • mildew grapes
  • late blight,
  • powdery mildew,
  • angular spotting,
  • chalcosporosis.

It also protects plants from other diseases that hinder their growth. Kuproksat retains its effectiveness in the formation of any technical conditions, with temperature indicators from 0 to 35 degrees. When used properly, it is characterized by the absence of phytotoxicity.

Active ingredient, release form, container

Kuproksat - inorganic substance. It is commonly referred to as contact fungicides that contain copper. Its active ingredient is copper (II) sulfate, pentahydrate, which is the main component. It is an anhydrous white crystalline medium. The form of the drug - 34.5% suspension concentrate. The fungicide is produced in a factory plastic canister with a volume of 10 or 25 liters, sometimes it is possible to find smaller packaging.

Spectrum of action

The fungicide protects plants from many fungi, such as scab apples, mildew grapes, brown spot, angular spot, late blight of potatoes and tomatoes, peronosporaz cucumbers, powdery mildew, macrosporosis, rhizoctoniosis, sugar beet gestos and other diseases that prevent the growth of crops.

Operating principle

Fungicide kills the parasite by direct contact. The excellent effect of using Kuproksat results from the penetration of the active agent into the cells of fungal parasites, which provoke a slowdown in the development of the plant.

This is due to the fact that copper ions enter into action with enzymes of pathogenic fungi and reduce their activity, impair respiratory functions. As a result, non-specific denaturation of protein occurs, and this process is incompatible with the growth of the organism. Copper sulphate continues to accumulate in spores and cells until they are completely destroyed.

In the event that diseases have already developed, the effectiveness of the drug "Kuproksat" will fall several times. This is due to the fact that it is not intended for the treatment of fungi, but for the prevention, eradication and prevention of their appearance.

Toxicity

The drug is not phytotoxic if it is used strictly according to the instructions. It is worth paying special attention to the processing of varieties of apple trees that are sensitive to copper: in the period after flowering as a result of spraying, a so-called “grid” may appear on their leaves and fruits.

"Kuproksat" refers to the third class of toxicity. This means that, subject to the use of the regulations, it does not cause irreparable harm to humans and other mammals, birds, beneficial fauna and flora. It is not recommended to use pesticide near water bodies inhabited by fish. This may adversely affect them.

Before spraying, special attention should be paid to finding a number of bees. "Kuproksat" refers to the fourth class of toxicity for them. Nevertheless, it is recommended that insects be at a distance of at least 3-4 kilometers from the framed culture during the day. This restriction will save bees from death.
